About Us
Dear Family and Friends,
We have formed a grassroots effort in our village, Moshav Bet Yehoshua to support soldiers and displaced families that were victims of the vicious terrorist attacks on October 7. Since the massacre, we have been working with many of the troops where our children serve to supply them with their immediate small needs…With the help of social media, many soldiers have learned that they can turn to us for whatever non-tactical needs they have.
With the help of donations, we have supplied thousands of items. But we want to do more.
We are now contacting you, our friends and family in the US to raise funds to buy supplies for hundreds of the many thousands of reservists who were called up and reported for duty with not much more than the clothes on their backs. While the government provides military items, the vast callup was swift and the reservists need so many little items that can make a real difference. We have a team on the Moshav that consists of ex-soldiers who understand the needs and the places to source military accepted socks, gloves, hats, head lamps, phone battery packs and more.
In addition to our soldiers, we also have assisted immediately with needs for evacuated kibbutzim. We helped make Gonni’s , from Netiv Haasarah, the first village to be attacked have his Bar Mitsvah, just like other youth his age. Other typical asks are the mundane needs that we all take for granted.
We are all asking how we can help. The video below has inspired our next project, called Troop Aid Kits.
TroopAid Kits provide needed gear to the soldiers stationed on the front, with items that are not provided by the army. The cost of the kit is $40 and when you see the faces of the soldiers who receive them, you simply melt.
We want to adopt additional troops and families to try to improve their conditions as quickly as possible. A lot of help is on the way, but it takes time and logistics which we are short on right now.
There are many charitable organizations in the US, Israel and beyond who are raising money for humanitarian aid in Israel and Gaza while the war continues. This is not that – this is just a request for donations to buy supplies etc. to make the conditions more bearable for the soldiers at the front. We are a force of nature, and we know how to get things done!
We can now provide tax donation receipts. You can call Linda at her USA phone number in Israel to ask any questions and verify we are for real. Her number is below.
We have not cast this net widely and have open-copied everyone, so if you know anyone not listed here who you think might interested in donating, feel free to pass this along.
You know what they say….it takes a village to raise a child and that is us and we need your help! Join our village in Israel.
